Watercolor canvas is exciting and really cool! Maybe you've wanted to
give it a try. Well don't be afraid anymore!
Learn about this exciting new painting
surface. Imagine hanging your finished watercolor painting without glass, without a mat, even without a
frame! You can do it. All levels are welcome to this three hour
workshop. No previous watercolor or drawing
experience required. Canvas and a limited selection of paints and gel medium is supplied. Please bring
your own watercolors/any acrylic paints you like, and brushes.

different media, explore the various ways to create beautiful mandalas, a personal
expression of you!
Leave your problems at the door! This one day workshop will concentrate
on centering yourself
and finding the artist within. You will begin with a guided meditation
to help you relax and be present
and then we will move through a series of exercises, including some
creative writing to help
you find your inner voice. This is a day just for you! Artist and
non-artists are welcome. If you don't have any There will be plenty of art supplies to use, but
feel free to bring any supplies you might like to use.
Enjoy taking home a beautiful mandala to frame.No previous art experience required.

The Woodland Christian
Church Arts Festival
is one of the highlights of the summer
in downtown Lexington. Held in August each year the property of Woodland
Christian Church is becomes a venue for superb artists to display their
handcrafted wares. Everyone from painters, glass blowers, jewelry
makers, woodworkers, and more exhibit their extraordinary talent and
provide an opportunity for the Lexington community to purchase these
fine items. If you are a person who would like to make your special
talent available to the Lexington Community through the Woodland

Louisville Collegiate School Launches Art in
the Highlands
Juried Art Show Welcomes Community to School’s
Highlands Campus LOUISVILLE, KY. – Louisville
Collegiate School is proud to present Art in
the Highlands, a community-wide event
featuring 130 juried artists from across the
country. The event will take place on September
19 and 20 on Collegiate’s campus at 2427
Glenmary Avenue from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Art mediums represented will
include watercolors, oil paintings,
photography, jewelry, sculpture, pottery and
much more. This weekend in Louisville has
typically been met with the arrival of the
Ursuline Campus Art Fair that for more than 20
years provided our city with the first festival
of the fall season. With the discontinuation of
this event, Collegiate will introduce a new show
that will sustain the quality and tradition of
the Ursuline event.
Art in the Highlands
will continue the fine tradition of fall
festivals in the Louisville area with food
vendors, entertainment and children’s
activities. Art-lovers, families and visitors
from all over the Louisville area and Kentucky
are welcome to attend this exciting inaugural
event. For the safety of our patrons and
artists, we kindly ask that you refrain from
bringing pets, bicycles, skateboards and alcohol
to the event. Off-site parking will be available
with free shuttle service to the event.

I am located across from Springhurst Towne
Center off Westport Road near the Gene Snyder.
Turn
at the first light right across from the entrance of Springhurst Towne Center (the entrance closest to Meijer's).
You will see an big bronze Indian
sculpture/fountain at the entrance to Indian Springs
neighborhood.
Take the
first left into the entrance where you see the
Leasing Office/clubhouse for Indian Legends Apartments.
Go around the back of the clubhouse and drive
down Indian Legends Drive. I am
in the
building which is several down on the left,
#11101. Park
anywhere you can find a place (except in front of a garage). I am on the
first floor, #101.
